A so-called army brat, Barbara Martin Ingram, was born in Michigan and grew up all over the country.  By the time she graduated from high school, she had attended fourteen different schools.  Spending three formative years in Occupation Japan left a lasting impact on her and on her artwork. 

 

A magna cum laude graduate of Western Michigan University, Ingram majored in Art and History.  Moving to New Mexico after college, she has spent most of her life here and calls Santa Fe home.
